The Lost Longhorn
About
Elaine Longhorn was taken two days ago, and the farm where she grew up smells of clean laundry and worry. Angelica Holden, no one’s hero, a tracker who’d rather read footsteps than people, gets roped in because she felt another Longhorn’s signature when Elaine vanished. It’s messy, it’s personal, and it will get everyone killed if they don't move fast.
They have an unlikely team: Shadow, a Guardian who learned how to do the impossible for love; Nick, an empath in a cop’s uniform who keeps pouring his courage into other people’s wounds; Nana, a witch with more patience than forgiveness; and Jen, a tiny hunter with a monstrous streak. Their plan is simple, find the cave, find the spellcaster, get Elaine out. Reality is not obliged to cooperate.
If they fail, the Angel the Dark Users covet will either kill Elaine to come, or the demon will use her to snuff out something far bigger than one life. If they win, what they save might not be the same, especially the people who thought they knew themselves.
